Over the past few days new features have been rolling out for YouTube and Google to improve their overall look and feel.

For months Google have been planning a new look for YouTube by introducing ‘Cosmic Panda’ an experimental YouTube design to gather feedback for the new channel and homepage designs. 17 hours after Google posted a video on YouTube announcing the design 6,703 members hit the ‘Dislike’ button overpowering the 2,280 members who hit ‘Like’. The new design will take the video publishing site closer to its sister social network Google+ and other competitor Facebook, so you can now check what your friends are sharing without leaving YouTube.

Google posted on their blog:

The new YouTube homepage is your gateway to a vast entertainment universe. To help you get more into YouTube, we’re making it easier to find and follow great Channels when you arrive.

The concept of this redesign came from the users of YouTube posting their feedback of ‘Cosmic Panda’ which also received bad reviews at first, now YouTube has its fresh digital paint job and ready for you all to enjoy.
