Facebook is one of the biggest social networks out there. As a company, it almosts scratches Google’ surface in terms of traffic rankings and it controls our every move. Think about it. You used to say “I’ll email you those photos” to a friend now its “I posted those photos on Facebook”. It is the connector of the 21st century – hell, it knows the in’s and out’s of your life, especially since they are releasing the Timeline.
Facebook is a great place for sharing things in your life – photos, messages, videos, etc but what about a news article you heard on a podcast or a funny video you saw on TV. How would you find it? … Search. I don’t know if you’ve noticed but Facebook & Bing have a great relationship together as Facebook advertise Bing through the use of Maps on Facebook Places (which I’ve spoken about before) but how about adding web search into the search box at the top of each screen on Facebook. This would make sense since I know plenty of people who have set Facebook as their homepage and enabling on-site search would make Facebook a considerably
